PURPOSE: To provide a controller for lifting and lowering of a seedling planter in a rice transplanter, capable of surely reducing the occurrence of mistaken control and excellent in responsiveness and durability by providing a ground contact load detecting sensor between the top surface of a float and the side of a transmission case. ;CONSTITUTION: This controller for lifting and lowering of a seedling planter 8 in a rice transplanter is obtained by installing the seedling planter 8 equipped with a float 13 to be kept in contact with the ground of a field surface 11, a transmission case 14 having the undersurface to which the float 13 is attached, a seedling-carrying platform 15 attached to the top surface side of the transmission case 14 and a hydraulic cylinder 10 for lifting or lowering movement of the seeding planter 8 relatively to the field surface 11. Furthermore, the controller is equipped with a ground contact load detecting sensor 27 installed between the top surface of the float 13 and the side of the transmission case 14 and a means for performing the operations to change over the seedling planter 8 to lifting or lowering movement thereof with an output from the ground contact load detecting sensor 27 so as to keep the ground contact load of the float 13 relatively to the field surface 11 nearly constant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
