PURPOSE: To enable surveying the relative positions of rails, sleepers, bridge girders, and the like simultaneously by providing a truck movable along the rails with a photographic means for photographing subjects to be inspected around the rails. ;CONSTITUTION: A truck (a) is run up to the position of a subject (b) to be inspected, and a photographic means (c) is moved by a movement means (d) to immediately above the subject (b) to be inspected, to photograph the subject (b) to be inspected from immediately above. A surveying means (j) computes the position of the photographic means (c) on coordinates based on the distance traveled by the truck (a) which is sent from a truck mileage detection means (e) and the position of the photographic means (c) relative to the truck (a) which is sent from a photographic position detection means (f). Further, the surveying means (j) computes the position of the subject (b) to be inspected on the coordinates based on the vertical distance between the photographic means (c) and the subject (b) to be inspected which is sent from a vertical distance detection means (j). In this case, if the inclination of the truck (a) is detected by an inclination angle detection means (h) correction corresponding to the inclination angle is effected.
