Support for survey system, for use in railway track surveying

The support has a frame (1) with main rollers (2,6), in order to allow it to be moved along the rails of a track. It is centred over the track by guide rollers (3) which run along the inside edge of the rail, and pressure rollers (4) which run along the outside edge.Each pressure roller may be pressed against the rail by a leaf spring (5), and may also be tilted up. The outer angle between the axis of the main rollers and the rail may be less than 90 degrees, in order for the guide rollers always to be in contact with the rail. Various survey systems may be attached to a ball-jointed plumb rod (7), which may be aligned perpendicularly above the rail to be surveyed, using a hand wheel (9).
