PURPOSE: To execute conversion between two sampling rates not expressed by an integer ratio at a high speed with high precision by means of addition and shift arithmetic operation when a signal is subjected to re-sampling calculation through the use of a quantized phase. ;CONSTITUTION: A sampled data signal is given to a first-in-first-out(FIFO) memory circuit 10. The sampled data are read from the FIFO 10 based on a control signal FC1 from a filter address generator and control circuit 30. The generator and control circuit 30 gives the sampled data from the FIFO 10 based on a clock signal CLK and a calculated parameter to a digital filter 20 when it requires the data. Then the multiphase digital filter 20 generates new data sample of a sampled data signal DOUT 1 according to the sampled data from the FIFO 10. Then the sampled data are programmed as plural time division multiplex frequency characteristics and a data sample DOUT 2 whose rate differs from that of the sampled data signal in the case of sampling rate conversion is generated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
