PRODUCTION OF HIGH-CONCENTRATION COAL-WATER SLURRY AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a high-concentration coal water mixture(CWM) by which the quality of the product slurry can be stabilized and stable operation can be performed to reduce the production cost. ;CONSTITUTION: Coarse grains in a slurry are separated at an outlet of a wet type mill 5, then cooled at a prescribed temperature with a cooling cooler 13 and then stored as a product slurry in a storage tank 15. The coarse grains in the product slurry are subsequently separated with a coarse grain separator 18 and the resultant slurry is then fed as a shipping slurry to a destination. The coarse grains separated in the product slurry with the coarse grain separator 18 are circulated through the inlet of the wet type mill 5 and repulverized therein in the method for producing a high-concentration CWM by introducing coal 27 into the wet type mill 5, pulverizing the coal in the presence of water 6, providing the CWM, separating the coarse grains and then feeding the resultant slurry to the destination.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
