PURPOSE: To produce an alloy material in which primary crystal Si is distributed into a specified part to improve its wear resistance and primary crystal Si is not allowed to exist on the other part to form a structure high in elongation and strength. ;CONSTITUTION: Hyper-eutectic Al-Si alloy molten metal 1 charged in a mold 2 made of alumina is cooled to a temp. of the eutectic reaction line or above and also to a temp. of the liquidus or below in a phase diagram to crystallize out primary crystal Si 3. After that, while being applied with electromagnetic force, this hyper-eutectic Al-Si alloy molten metal 1 is moreover cooled and is solidified.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
