PURPOSE: To enhance workability without taking up time to excavate a hole, and enhance structural reliability and reduce cost in piling of a middle pile to support an underground structure in an inverted construction method. ;CONSTITUTION: In an underground construction work which constructs an underground structure in an inverted construction method, an intermediate pile, whose pile main body's lower end is reinforced with a cage or a structural steel cage, is inserted into a depth of embedment N of an intermediate pile excavated at a depth more than the excavated depth from a grounding surface at an installation position of a lining base or an underground structure support intermediate pile D.
