PURPOSE:To make simple and sure the assembly of a glow plug of sheath type by inserting in a tubular sheath a coil-shaped heat generating wire which is welded to the tip end of an electrode and attaching the heat generating wire from inside to a throttle section at the tip of the sheath so as to deposit the wire to the choke section. CONSTITUTION:In a tubular sheath 13 which has a throttle section of a smaller diameter at its tip a coil-shaped heat generating wire 11 which is welded to the tip of an electrode 16 from the rear end section of the sheath 13 is inserted and the wire 11 engages in tight contact the inside step section 13b of the small diameter throttle section 13a. Next, the tip end section of the sheath 13 and the end section 11b of the coil-shaped heat generating wire 11 are deposited and sealed. With this constitution the assembly of a flow plug becomes sure and simple.
