CULTIVATION OF FRUIT BODY OF LYOPHYLLUM ULMARIUM

PURPOSE: To provide a method for cultivating fruit bodies of Lyophyllum ulmarium capable of increasing stem length. CONSTITUTION: The artificial cultivation method in a mush room bed of the fruit bodies of Lyophyllum ulmarium consists of a hypha-distributing process, an aging process, a fruit body primordium-forming process, a fructification process and a paper rolling process at either of the above processes. The fructification process comprises (A) the first term process curried out under illumination at 50 lux on fruit body primordia and (B) the second term process for cultivating under illumination at 50-1300 lux after the first term process. Preferably, the first term process is curried out for 5-10 days and the second term process for 3-7 days. This method enables the production of the fruit bodies uniform in stem length possessing shapes like Flammulina velutipes having long stems.
