PURPOSE: To prevent the apparatus from opening the space between seedling rows previously carried on the carrying conveyer and seedling row latter carried or overlapping these opposed tops even when the lengths of seedling row successively transferred onto a carrying conveyer are uneven. ;CONSTITUTION: The contact position (β) of seedling Pnb in the last tail of the preceding seedling row Pn previously carried on a carrying conveyer E with the top seedling Pa of the following seeding row P(n+1) transferred thereafter is calculated and when the seedling Pnb in the last tail of the preceding seedling row Pn is moved to the contact position (β), the top seedling Pa of the following seedling row P(n+1) is made to coincide with the contact position (β) and transferred to the carrying conveyer E.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
