PURPOSE: To provide an exhaust gas treatment process in which reaction properties of an alkaline earth metal hydroxide and a high acidic gas-removing rate can be achieved, and also provide a dry reaction column used in the process. ;CONSTITUTION: A water spray device 6 is provided on the upper stage inside a column 1 into which high temperature exhaust gas is introduced, and exhaust gas is cooled and humidity is increased to improve the reaction properties in the acidic gas-removing reaction by using a spray device 3 of an alkaline earth metal hydroxide slurry (slaked lime slurry) on the lower stage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
