PURPOSE: To deliver parts without hindrance by extracting the shelf equipment of an empty shelf, retrieving the warehoused parts of the same specifications as those of parts to be carried in and extracting the shelf where the number or stocked parts of the same specifications as those of parts to be carried in is minimum to be selected as a carrying-in destination for the parts to be carried in. ;CONSTITUTION: In the shelf columns 6 with No.1 to No.8, it is supposed that there are different numbers of carried-in works of the same specifications as those of works to be carried-in and, for example, if the number of stocked works on the shelf column 6 with No.3 is minimum, the shelf column 6 with No.3 is selected as the shelf column with the minimum number of warehoused works of the same specifications. If a pallet in the process of being conveyed is placed on a carrying conveyer 2a, a flag is set on the shelf data indicating the stock on the work shelf of the shelf column 6. Subsequently, the moment a pallet is stored in a designated shelf, the flag is cleared. Accordingly, the works of the same sprecifications are not gathered in the same shelf column, but stock equally in the respective shelf colums, so that even if an arbitrary automatic conveyer car 11 gets out of order, works are in stock on the other shelves than the shelf of the failured car 11 so as to be carried-out without hindrance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
