PURPOSE: To prevent wedge phenomenon and moreover to improve the cutting- off ability of a sheet pile by excluding soil and sand which invade inside a section part to outside the section. ;CONSTITUTION: The inserting part of a section is obliquely cut into a half-side cutting edge-shape, a staircase-shape or a curved half-side cutting edge-shape. Thus soil and sand within the section of an existing sheet pile are raked outside the section along the above obliquely cut plane and cut off from escape within the section, and large section resistance is therefore not generated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
