PURPOSE: To provide a display picture edition system in which emphasis-display is carried out only when a selected picture is the picture of a type whose edition is validated or commanded. ;CONSTITUTION: When an editing function is executed, a constant picture type is designated for edition. A display picture is selected by using a cursor, and normal emphasis display for identifying the selected picture (step 219) is delayed until the system judges that the type of the picture selected in a step 218 is a constant type designated for edition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
