SEX ATTRACTANT OF ANAGLYPTUS SUBFASCIANTUS

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject sex attractant exhibiting excellent attraction effect by using (R)-3-hydroxy-2-hexanone or octanone [(R)-enantiomer] or their racemic compounds singly or in combination. ;CONSTITUTION: (1) (R)-3-hydroxy-2-hexanone [(R)-enantiomer] or its racemic compound and (2) (R)-3-hydroxy-2-octanone [(R)-enantiomer] or its racemic compound are used singly or in combination. The attractant exhibits strong attracting action and motion exciting action on female imago of Anaglyptus subfasciantus (a kind of longicorn beetle). In the case of using the active components (1) and (2) in mixed state, the mixing ratio is preferably (3-15):1, especially 7:1. These active components are used as an attractant having practical form by adsorbing the components to a device such as plastic or rubber, e.g. polyethylene or using a proper material or tool pertinent to the application circumstance such as plastic capsule or capillary.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
