METHOD FOR MEASURING SKIN TEMPERATURE AND LOCAL AMOUNT OF SWEATING

PURPOSE: To measure the local amt. of sweating at the time of wearing clothing in a natural state and to measure the exact amt. of local sweating by admitting the wet air of the absolute temp. approximate to the absolute humidity in the clothing into a capsule installed on the skin simultaneously with measurement of a skin temp. and measuring the amt. of local sweating. CONSTITUTION: The amt. of sweating is measured by using an instrument for measuring the skin temp. and the amt. of local sweating composed of a wet air generating section, a tube 9 with a heater, an in-clothing temp. and humidity module 14, an in-capsule temp. and humidity module 13, a skin temp. sensor 10, a capsule 12 and a measurement control system. The wet air of the absolute humidity approximate to the absolute humidity in the clothing is admitted into the capsule 12 installed on the skin simultaneously with the measurement of the skin temp. and the local amt. of sweating is measured. The amts. of the local sweating and the skin temps. at the max. five points are otherwise measured simultaneously. As a result, the amt. of local sweating in wearing of the clothing is measured in the natural state approximate to the actual state and the exact measurement of the amt. of local sweating is made possible; in addition, the measurement of the skin temp. is made possible as well.
