PURPOSE: To easily stick a short leader to film at an exact position with sufficient splicing strength without damaging the end of the film and to easily separate them after using them in an automatic developing machine using the short leader. ;CONSTITUTION: As for the short leader 200 spliced with the photographic film F to carry and guide the film F in the automatic developing machine, a recessed part 211A or a projection part matched with the form of the end of the film F is formed at the specified position of the short leader 200, and the depth of the recessed part 211A is made nearly the same as the thickness of the film F and the opposite surface of the short leader 200 corresponding to the recessed part 211A or the projection part is increased in thickness by the amt. equal to the depth of the recessed part 211A to be a projection part or a recessed part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
