PURPOSE: To obtain a reply device at absence of a party of a key telephone set in which even in the case of a call from a a corresponding country is sent even in the case of a call from a foreign country. ;CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a retrieval table 14 storing a predetermined country number in cross reference with a reply message in a language of the preset country. A country number discrimination section 13 discriminates a country number included in dial information at the arrival of a call and a reply message in a language corresponding to the discriminated country number is read out and reproduced from the retrieval table 14 and sent to an opposite party through an external line to receive and store a message from the opposite party.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
