PURPOSE: To provide a safe method for degreasing a molding by which the molding without any defects such as cracking or blistering can be obtained and the degreasing can be completed in a shorter time. ;CONSTITUTION: An organic binder in a molding prepared from a mixture of a sinterable powdery raw material with the organic binder, preferably a molding obtained by an injection molding method is partially extracted with a solvent consisting essentially of methylpyrrolidone and the remaining organic binder is then removed by heating. The organic binder is preferably a mixture of a readily solvent-soluble binder with a sparingly solvent-soluble binder. The organic binder dissolved in the solvent can be separated and removed by cooling to carry out the reutilization of the solvent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
