PURPOSE:To provide a fountain and a waterfall of high appreciation value by irradiating the continuous strobe light of a fixed luminous cycle to a group of water flows having characteristics differently changed in underwater sound frequency, frequency phase, frequency change speed, dephased frequency and the like. CONSTITUTION:Respective nozzles 3 and 3a are fitted in parallel alternately to the ends of a plurality of tubes 2 and 2a branched from devices 1 and 1a for generating water flows containing water drops. Water flows 5 and 5a containing water drops 4 and 4a are jetted from the nozzles 3 and 3a. When the continuous strobe light of a fixed luminous cycle is irradiated to the water flows 5 and 5a, the water drops 4 and 4a glitter beautifully and an artificial waterfall for appreciation is obtained. In this case, when the nozzles 3 and 3a are directed up, the water flows 5 and 5a containing the water drops 4 and 4a turns into a fountain to generate a water flow along a parabolic line. Furthermore, the generation state of the water drops 4 and 4a changes, when the frequencies and phases of vibrations for the devices 1 and 1a to generate an underwater sound are differently changed. By irradiating strobe light, therefore, the motions of the water drops 4 and 4a show changes different from each other.
