STAINLESS STEEL POWDER AND PRODUCTION OF HIGH-DENSITY SINTERED STAINLESS STEEL POWDER USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain stainless steel powder for production of a high-density sintered stainless steel and a process for production of this high-density sintered stainless steel by using the same. ;CONSTITUTION: A flux consisting of at least one kind of compds. selected from 0.25 to 4wt.% various kinds of boric acids and borates is mixed with the stainless steel powder or the stainless steel powder is coated with this flux. A green compact obtd. by compaction molding of the stainless steel powder subjected to this treatment is sintered at 1100 to 1400°C, by which the high- -density sintered stainless steel is produced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
