PURPOSE: To obtain a glaze raw material capable of providing glaze capable of forming a spot pattern, etc., having appearance similar to that of natural stone in a single glazing step by constituting glaze particles from glaze.flock formed by flocculating glaze particles with a macromolecular flocculating agent. ;CONSTITUTION: This glaze raw material is constituted from glaze particle flock obtained by flocculating glaze particles with a macromolecular flocculating agent to form a glaze particle flock, preferably flocculating glaze particles with an anionic or nonionic macromolecular flocculating agent to form a primary flock of glaze particles, further, stabilizing the primary flock with the cationic macromolecular flocculating agent to form the secondary flock of glaze particles. Thereby, the glaze material does not cause mutual interference between different particles or does not exert adverse influence on each other even when plural kinds of glaze particles different in color tone and particle diameter, etc., are simultaneously suspended in disperse medium.
