PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for measuring irregularity of a track which makes possible the carrying out of a measurement simply in a long span only by one worker using one measuring truck or the configuration of equipment. ;CONSTITUTION: The image of a rail at a measuring location is photographed at a position of starting measurement using a two-dimensional image sensor 11 on a measuring truck to be stored into an image memory 12. Then, the distance from a reference surface of the measuring truck is measured continuously with displacement sensors 17a-17c mounted at the bottom of the measuring truck to determine a vertical deviation from a data obtained. Here, the current position of the truck is updated based on the rotation of a wheel or the like. A correction is made based on a vertical deviation data including the position data and an installation data to reconstruct a corrected vertically sectional linear by computation. When the truck reaches a measuring target point, a rail of the normal state as viewed from the point at which the rail image was taken initially is drawn in an image memory 12 and is displayed being superimposed on an actual rail image to measure a value of deviation at each point.
