PURPOSE: To obtain a reagent for detecting canine parvovirus which can make a decision in a short time through simple operation while exhibiting a long self life by sensitizing an immoglobulin IgG for canine parvovirus to latex particles. ;CONSTITUTION: Since a reagent for detecting canine parvovirus is sensitized with an immoglobulin IgG for canine parvovirus, if a canine parvovirus is present in liquid flux to be inspected, latex particles are aggregated in the detection method for canine parvovirus. Organic polymers, e.g. polystyrene having high specific gravity, styrene-butadiene copolymer, and vinyl chloride-acrylate copolymer, are applicable as the latex. The IgG being sensitized to the latex may be demarcated from antiserum of canine parvovirus or prepared from the abdominal dropsy of an animal, e.g. a mouse, subjected to inoculation of live cell of anti-canine parvovirus antibody at the abdomen thereof.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
