FLAME-RETARDANT STYRENE RESIN COMPOSITION HAVING IGNITION MELT-DRIPPING PROPERTY

PURPOSE: To provide a flame-retardant styrene resin composition containing a rubber-modified styrene resin having a specific reduced viscosity of the resin part and a phosphorous-based flame-retardant, having good ignition melt-dripping property, flame-retardancy, heat-resistance, impact resistance and fluidity and useful for household appliance parts, OA equipment parts, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: This flame-retardant styrene resin composition having excellent ignition dripping property, flame-retardancy, heat-resistance, impact resistance and fluidity can be produced by compounding (A) a rubber-modified styrene resin having a reduced viscosity (η_sp/C) of the resin part of 0.4-0.6 and obtained by the free radical polymerization of a vinyl monomer such as styrene, α- methylstyrene or acrylonitrile in the presence of a rubbery polymer such as a diene rubber having a glass transition temperature of ≤-30°C (e.g. polybutadiene, poly(styrene-butadiene), isoprene rubber or chloroprene rubber) with (B) a phosphorus-based flame-retardant such as phosphine, phosphine oxide, phosphonium salt, phosphinic acid salt, phosphoric acid ester or phosphorous acid ester.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
