PURPOSE: To obtain the subject knitted or woven fabric, excellent in a dry tough and softness and rich in stretchability and useful for sports and inner wears by specifying the cross-sectional structure of a basic-dyeable polyester multifilament yarn and the mixing ratio of an elastic yarn to be mixed and knitted or woven therewith. ;CONSTITUTION: This polyester knitted or woven fabric is obtained by forming plural wedgy grooves in the directions from the surface of the yarn to the interior in filaments constituting a basic-dyeable polyester multifilament yarn to be mixed and knitted or woven with an elastic yarn. The mixing ratio of the elastic yarn is regulated to ≥3wt.%, preferably ≥5wt.% based on the knitted or woven fabric.
