PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convergence measuring method for a color cathode-ray tube and a device therefor, both for facilitating measurement and control of the convergence of a cathode-ray tube, shortening the working time and improving the efficiency. ;SOLUTION: A convergence measuring method for a color cathode-ray tube 20 and a device therefor involve an optical sensor S for image pattern detection placed in front of the screen of a convergence-measured cathode-ray tube set. The sensor S detects the information on an image pattern through the movement of beams in the tube, converts it into signals, measures the divergence of R, G and B beams from the signals, and displays it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
