DULL COLORED COTTON, ITS PRODUCTION AND CARPET CONTAINING DULL COLORED COTTON BLENDED THEREIN

摘要

PURPOSE: To manifest a mix feeling of a strong hue and a multicolor feeling even in a state of a reduced amount of a blended expensive colored cotton in a needle punched carpet or a tufted carpet formed from multicolored synthetic fibers. ;CONSTITUTION: This dull colored cotton is obtained by kneading 0.4-1.5 pts.wt. titanium oxide with 100 pts.wt. polymer in a colored cotton of synthetic fibers and thereby reducing the transparency of the colored cotton. The colored cotton dulled by kneading the titanium oxide therein is then mixed in a needle punched carpet or a woven carpet so that the colored cotton may account for 1-20wt.%. Thereby, the transparency (light transmittance) of the colored cotton is reduced to emphasize the mix feeling and transparency of hue between the mutual colored cottons.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
