PURPOSE: To remove residual liquid completely from a processing chamber and its constituent elements in a method of cleaning a rotary tablet forming machine by injecting cleaning agent and water-washing agent continuously in the processing chamber, then closing all openings of the processing chamber and forming vacuum in the closed processing chamber. ;CONSTITUTION: In the first cleaning step, a cleaning agent is injected from a high- pressure injection nozzle 11 to a rotary machine 3 placed in a predetermined position and the constituent elements thereof while the rotary machine 3 is rotated slowly. The cleaning agent is fed via a feeding tube connector 12, and the used cleaning agent is removed via a discharge tube 9 and a discharge tube connector 10. In the subsequent cleaning step, a water-washing agent is fed via feeding tube connector 12 and injected to the rotary machine 3 with the high-pressure injection nozzle 11. The water-washing agent is discharged from the discharge tube connector 10 and re-used after the filtration with a filter. Thereafter, a vacuum of about 0.1 to 0.2 bar in respect to absolute pressure is formed in a processing chamber 4, thus all the residual liquid left as attaching to window glass 6 is also removed completely.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
