PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a pulse type electronic article monitoring device to successfully operate in a high electric noise environment by providing an environment analyzing circuit element which can be operated to decide each noise environment to a reception coil. ;SOLUTION: A pulse type electronic article monitoring device incorporates a transmitter 108 which drives a transmission coil 110 through a line 112, a receiver 114, a device controller 76, and an alarm device 116. The receiver 114 incorporates a reception coil 118 and its output is connected to a tag response processor 124 through a line 122. The processor 124 controls the alarm device 116 through a line 126. A noise environment analyzer 10 controls the gains of the receiver 114 and an amplifier by using the signal from its multiplexer output line 78. The device controller 76 is connected to the transmitter 108, analyzer 10, and a processing circuit 124 respectively through lines 128, 130, and 132.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
