PURPOSE:To concurrently perform the stabilization and draining of the surface layer of soft ground by a method in which water absorptive sheets are laminated on a netted sheet laid on soft ground and the ends of the sheets are penetrated into an excavated hole in the soft ground. CONSTITUTION:A netted sheet 2 is laid on the surface of soft ground 1, and a water absorptive sheet 3 is laminated on the sheet 2. The end 7 of the sheet 3 is exposed in an excavated hole 5, and a banking 4 is formed on the sheet 3. The water accumulated in the hole 5 is drained to the outside by a suction pump 8.
