PURPOSE: To obtain the subject hydrolyzing solution, composed of a caustic alkali, a glycol ether derivative, a polyoxymonocarboxylate and water, capable of readily hydrolyzing even a silicone at a low concentration, easily washing and removing a coating containing the silicone mixed therein. ;CONSTITUTION: This hydrolyzing and washing solution for silicones is obtained by blending a caustic alkali (e.g. caustic soda) with a glycol ether derivative (e.g. ethylene glycol dimethyl ether), a polyoxymonocarboxylate (e.g. sodium glycolate) and water at 13:4:2:81 weight ratio. This hydrolyzing solution is capable of hydrolyzing an organosilion compound (silicone) at a low concentration under easy conditions and readily performing the washing and removal of a coating containing the silicone mixed therein by heating at about 80°C temperature for ≥5min.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
