PURPOSE: To provide a winding core and a winding body capable of achieving a stable transport and storage in which the winding bodies can be stacked in a tower even when the width of the winding core is larger than the width of a printed product wound therearound, and empty winding cores require no space. CONSTITUTION: A reel 14 of a winding core 10 is provided with a projection 22 in a longitudinal direction 12 from a wound printed product 40 around the winding core 10, and a partially covered recessed part 24 by the printed product 40. When a winding bodies 38 are stacked in a tower, the projection of the winding core 10 is fitted into the recessed part 24 of the winding core 10 of the adjacent winding body 38. The wound printed products 40 of the winding body 38 are brought into contact with each other when stacked. The winding bodies 38 are prevented from mutually being shifted during the transport.
