IRON-COPPER-ALUMINIUM STEEL EXCELLENT IN DAMPING CAPACITY AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce an Fe-Cu-Al steel having excellent damping capacity and sufficient tensile strength as the material for structure, furthermore good in toughness and excellent in cost effectiveness as well. ;CONSTITUTION: This steel excellent in damping capacity is the one have a compsn. contg., by mass, ≤0.02% C, ≤0.02% Si, ≤0.08% Mn, 0.05 to 1.50% Cu, 1.0 to 7.0% Al, ≤0.008% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and in which the volume rate of ferritic grains having ≥0.1mm grain size is regulated to ≥20%. The steel can be obtd. by holding it under heating at 700 to 1050°C for 1hr or longer, executing cooling and furthermore subjecting the same to heat treatment at 450 to 650°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
