METHOD FOR FORMING RECESSED PART FOR INSERTION OF EXPANSION JOINT FOR WATERPROOF PRESSING CONCRETE AND BUILTUP EXPANSION JOINT

PURPOSE: To obtain the excellent waterproof by fitting a joint framework, which is softened as it absorbs the residual moisture, like a grid with an installing member, and removing the joint framework after the concrete is placed so as to form a recessed part, in which the expansion joint is to be inserted. ;CONSTITUTION: A paper core 2 is used as a core, and paper surface plates 1 are adhered to both surfaces so as to form a joint framework 4 having a rectangular cross section, which has the characteristic that it is softened as it absorbs the moisture. This joint framework 4 is fitted in an installing member 5, and fitted onto a waterproof layer 6 or a heat insulating layer laid on the roof in the condition that the joint framework 4 is blocked like a grid. The reinforcing material 7 for the concrete such as welded metal net is laid in this block, and the waterproof concrete 8 is placed and hardened, and thereafter, the joint framework 4, which is softened by moisture absorption, is removed so as to form a recessed part, in which the expansion joint is to be inserted. Consequently, the generation of crack, water leakage and breakdown of the exterior can be prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
