摘要

PURPOSE: To measure and determine the diameter and shape of a particle by light scattering method. ;CONSTITUTION: A liquid phase or gas phase dispersing particles in it is irradiated with incident lights L1, L2 and a scattering light L3 transmitted through the liquid phase or gas phase at a micro-angle position of 0 to 5° in front of the incident lights L1, L2 is condensed. The scattering light L3 is separated into vertical and horizontal components and the intensities thereof are compared. A decision is then made whether a particle is spherical or not based on the intensity ratio and the particle size is calculated based on the sum of intensities. Since the diameter and shape of a particle are measured simultaneously, information required for management of operating conditions can be obtained at the site of production or working of powder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
