PURPOSE: To prevent the seizure of roll when the tapered part of a tube end is rolled, and to perform stable rolling. ;CONSTITUTION: Rolling oil coating devices 6, 7 are installed in the neighborhoods of the inlet sides 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b of object stands in taper rolling of the tube end of a mandrel mill. As soon as the tip of the tube is bitten in, the tapered tip part of the tube is coated with rolling oil, and coating of the rolling oil is suspended at the same time with completion of the taper rolling.
