PURPOSE:To update the version of the character resource with efficiency and to realize a downloading process matching a user transaction as to the downloading process system for the character resource which downloads the character resource required for the output process of an output device to the output device. CONSTITUTION:The constitution which separates and controls the standard character resource 3 of the system to be downloaded and a user defined character resource 13 according to different library constitution is employed to eliminate the need to maintain the user defined character resource 13 even when the version of the system standard character resource 12 is updated, and the constitution which prepares plural libraries for controlling the user defined character resource 13 by user transactions and specifies one of them is employed to realize the downloading processes matching the user transactions.
