PURPOSE: To provide a scum waterway which can remove suspended matters such as foams and scums from the surface of water to be treated and bring the liquid level into contact with fresh air at all times and also provide a water catching gutter with scum waterway which can catch supernatant only securely and simultaneously remove scum. ;CONSTITUTION: A scum removing device is set removably or fixed in the vicinity of a liquid surface layer of water to be treated, and its shape is a weir or a gutter into which overflowed suspended matters of the liquid surface layer is flowed selectively, and a drawing device for drawing the inflow suspended matters out of a system is installed therein. A water catching gutter is formed on the upper section in a treatment tank, and at least a waterway for treated water and an overflow waterway provided with a underwater for the inflow of water to be treated formed adjacent to the waterway for treated water and a scum removing device adjacent to the overflow waterway are installed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
