FINDING DEVICE FOR CAUSE OF FAULT, COUNTERMEASURE DEVICE AGAINST CAUSE OF FAULT, AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To automatically find the cause of a fault occurring in a computer system by acknowledging the discrepancy between environment information during the operation of the computer system and normal environment information corresponding to the information and specify the discrepancy as the cause of finding the abnormality of the computer system in the case where the discrepancy exceeds its permissible range. ;CONSTITUTION: An environment information storage part 105 stores plural pieces of regular environment information when normal operation is performed by the computer system. An environment information comparison part 108 compares the environment information during the operation of the computer system with regular environment information corresponding at the environment information during the operation among plural pieces of regular environment information stored in an environment information storage part 105 to decide whether or not they match each other, and acknowledges the contents of the discrepancy by utilizing the result of the comparison if the decision result indicates the discrepancy and the discrepancy exceeds the permissible range, thereby specifying the acknowledged contents as the cause of the fault of the computer system.
