PROTECTION METHOD OF COASTAL SLOPE IN ARTIFICIAL SEASIDE/ AND PROTECTION MAT FOR THE SLOPE

PURPOSE: To prevent the sand in a beach nourishment from flowing out by waves and drain the water brought in the beach nourishment to the sea side to reduce the water pressure by arranging a submerged bank at the sea side end of the beach nourishment and laying a water-permeable asphalt mat against the surface of the submerged bank and the sea side of the beach nourishment to construct an artificial seaside. CONSTITUTION: When an artificial seaside 1 is constructed, a submerged bank 15 is arranged at the sea side end of a beach nourishment 4 and coarse sand is filled in the beach nourishment 4 at a specified inclined angle and a water- permeable asphalt mat 20 is laid down so as to cover the surface of the submerged bank 15 and the bottom of sea side and further, a specified scope of the sea side on the surface of the beach nourishment 4 and not to directly discharge the inflow seawater on the beach nourishment 4 through the submerged bank 20. When the sand corresponding to the land side part of the mat 20 is scoured, the end of mat gets into the recessed part to prevent the sand from flowing out.
