INDUSTRIALLY PURE TITANIUM AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce industrially pure titanium having excellent corrosion resistance in a nonoxidizing environment even if the concn. of Fe is increased to some extent through the utilization of scraps of low quality. ;CONSTITUTION: The amt. of scraps to be used is controlled to regulate the content of Fe to 0.1 to 0.3wt.%, and annealing is executed at the transformation starting temp. from the α phase to β phase or below. Moreover, the industrially pure titanium in which the grain size is controlled to ≤30μm shows more excellent corrosion resistance in a nonoxidizing environment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
