PURPOSE: To reduce the burden of repetitive input operation, to speed up the input operation and to reduce erroneous input. ;CONSTITUTION: In the structural planning supporting system for displaying the picture of the structural design of the building, an optional operation object floor plan is displayed in a drawing area 103 set on the screen of the picture display device. The two-dimensional structural element information for the operation object floor plan is inputted by operating a cursor 115 with a mouse. The one-dimensional structural element information in the depth direction crossing orthogonally to the operation object floor plan is combined with the two-dimensional structural element information by the operation of the cursor 115 with the mouse.
