PCMCIA INTERFACE, AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN USER APPLICATION AND PC CARD

PURPOSE: To obtain a PCMCIA interface with transplantability by transplanting an overall PCMCIA interface to another host computer. ;CONSTITUTION: A UNIC operating system 135 including a UNIX 32 and a device driver 33 also includes a PCMCIA interface software driver 34. A UNIX interchangeable user application 31 performs access through a PCMCIA interface software driver 34 or the like to a PC card 100. This software driver 34 includes a hardware-independent part 34a and a hardware-dependent part 34b. Then, the coding of the interface software driver 34 is made in a proper high standard programming language such as C language, and the source code of the driver 34 can easily be transplanted to another host computer platform.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
