PURPOSE: To provide a method for preventing the burning on a fluorescent screen of a CRT display device capable of preventing the burning thereon and performing a display recognizable by a user by reversing and displaying a still image for every prescribed time and to provide the CRT display device applying the burning preventing method. ;CONSTITUTION: The CRT display device displays a normal still image to which the still character data read out from a CG-ROM 5 and the still graphics data read out from a video RAM 10 by an attribute controller 6 are synthesized on the CRT 19, and is provided with an exclusive OR circuit 22 deciding an image signal 17 outputted from the controller 6 and a condition flag control part 11 for instructing image reversion to the OR circuit 22 by a display condition control signal 16, and the normal still image and a reverse still image are switched alternately for every prescribed time and displayed on the CRT 19.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
