TRANSFER TAPE FEEDING AND TAKING-UP MECHANISM FOR COATING APPLICATOR

PURPOSE: To eliminate the feeding of an excess unused transfer tape from a supply reel by inserting a compression spring between locking pieces in contact with the inner wall of the collar of the reel. ;CONSTITUTION: A compression spring 9 is inserted radially of a supply reel 4 between a pair of locking pieces 8 in contact with the inner wall of the collar 10 of the reel 4. Thus, the pieces 8 are brought into contact with the collar 10 of the reel 4 by the elasticity of the spring 9 thereby to generate a predetermined frictional force between the inner wall of the collar 10 of the reel 3 and the pieces 8, and hence a frictional force is always generated between the reel 4 and the collar 10 for taking up the tape. In this manner, the feeding of the excess unused transfer tape into a coating applicator body 12 can be prevented, and suitable tension is applied to the tape between a transfer head 14 and a take-up reel 5. Coating or correcting operation can be smoothly conducted by the paste or correcting coating film in the case of next use.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
