NEUROBLASTOMA CELL DIFFERENTIATION-INDUCING ACTIVATOR

PURPOSE:To obtain an activator useful as a therapeutic agent for neuroblastoma, containing an EDF (Erythroid diffentiation factor)-bonded protein having specific physical and chemical properties, synergistically raising differentiation-inducing activity of an EDF-bonded protein neuroblastoma cell by using the EDF-bonded protein with a differentiation-inducing activity of an EDF-bonded protein neuroblastoma cell such as retinoic acid. CONSTITUTION:This activator contains an EDF-bonded protein having physical and chemical properties of (a) 30-40kd molecular weight (SDS-PAGE, under unreduced conditions), (b) a protein derived from human, swine, rat or bovine having bonding ability to EDF, (c) 303 or 304 number of amino acid residues and (d) an amino acid sequence of the formula and =95% homology. A dose of the EDF-bonded protein is 1-100mg/weight kg and is preferably administered once to ten times for 2 to 10 days.
