EMBEDMENT TYPE STEEL PLATE CELL REVETMENT AND BREAKWATER HAVING WAVE-BREAKING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To break waves by use of a revetment or a breakwater made by an embedment type steel plate cell method and reduce the influence of reflected waves against ships under way, by forming a space for breaking waves on the arcs between steel plate cells. CONSTITUTION:A revetment and breakwater is constituted of steel plate cells 1 embedded in the bottom of the sea at every specified distance and front and rear arcs 2, 3 made by arc-shaped steel plates embedded by driving in the front and rear sea bottom between the steel plate cells 1. The top end 3a of the front arc 3 or the top ends 2a, 3a of the front and the rear arcs 2, 3 are installed under the water level. The upper structure is erected to connect to the top end 1a of the steel plate cell 1. A space 8 for of waves is formed between steel plate cells of the upper structure and the arc top end.
