UNDERGROUND JOINT SHIELD CONSTRUCTION FOR DIFFERENT DIAMETER TUNNEL, ITS SHIELD MACHINE, AND ITS CUTTER DISC DEVICE

PURPOSE: To shorten the construction period and reduce the construction cost by carrying out the seal for water at a tunnel joint part through the mechanical seal, without using the auxiliary construction method for the basic ground of the joint part. ;CONSTITUTION: When a receiving side shield machine B₁ and a peneration side shield machine S reach a joint point, the outer peripheral cutter 4 installed on the periphery of the cutter disc device D₁ of the receiving side shield machine B₁ is accommodated into the cutter disc device D₁, and the cutter disc device D₁ and the shield machine structure body 2 are retreated along the inner periphery of the skin plate P of the receiving side shield machine B₁. Following to the retreat operation of the cutter disc device D₁, the receiving side shield machine S is allowed to penetrate into the skin plate P of the receiving side shield machine B₁, and a tube seal 1 installed on the inner periphery of the skin plate P is expanded to seal water at the trunk body outside diameter surface part of the penetration side shield machine S.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
