METHOD FOR CUTTING BAR-SHAPED FOOD INTO SPHERE SHAPE AND CUTTER BLADE-COMBINED CUTTING APPARATUS FOR THE CUTTING METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a method for cutting food into spherical shape capable of neatly cutting a food material extruded into continuous bar and at the same time forming the cut surface into round shape and to provide a cutting apparatus for cutting food into spherical shape with a cutting member consisting of a combination of cutter blades which are most suitable for the cutting method. ;CONSTITUTION: A body side as constricting face of a cutter member 1 has specified angle of inclination. Plural cutter members 1 whose constricting faces are combined to each other, move in a horizontal direction in constricting manner to cut food. This motion enables the smoothening of pyramidal edges of a top of food like that of the food squeezed out. The combination-type of the cutter member 1 enables an easy change of the angle of constricting faces. This cutting system dispenses with attaching the secondary shape-adjusting equipment on cutting apparatus and separately performing the reshape of a piece of food into round shape after cutting as in conventional method. Accordingly, production efficiency of food having round shape in one end, e.g. a dumpling and a bun with a bean-jam filling is widely improved. Further, the combination-type of the cutting member 1 enables the most suitable spherical cutting for various kinds of food materials.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
